Have you downloaded the plug-ins for TCPMP?

But even with the plugin there was a recent posting that claimed AAC support had been removed from TCPMP.
Legal reasons presumably.

Yeah - If you look a little deeper into the TCPMP site, it turns out there are lots of versions of 0.66. 0.66a - the first, is the only one that can play AAC. All the rest have had support taken out because of copyright issues.

You can still get the 0.66a here : http://www.cabfiles.net/search.php?f...at=0&do=search

although it might still be up download at the TCPMP site - I haven't checked.

I dunno... I tried it a couple of times with mp4's and it's worked, although I don't use it regularly. It was just something to try - not 100% certain fix..

Have you tried looking at the tcpmp site? maybe it's still up there..
perhaps betaplayer might play? If none of these play it, it's probably more likely that the codec used is uncompatible, rather than it's been take out.

A complete TCPMP 0.66e installer CAB which includes the AAC plugin can be found at Dr.Mabin's Blog Page, it is in Korean but just click the TCPMP link on the left handside then scroll down until you see [PDA] TCPMP 0.66e with All Plug-ins | TCPMP .
