What version of Beta Player (TCPMP) are you using?

Hi all,

Just wondering what version of Beta player you guys/gals are using?

I am still using Beta Player 0.96UNSTABLE. Does TCPMP version 0.66 have all the plugin' built in? Is it worth the trouble of ungrading because 0.96 works amazing atm.

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

0.66; there are additional plug-ins available for it but I didn't download them. It does what I need it to do as solid as a rock. But I only listen to Ogg files and watch my Xvid-encoded movies.

TCPMP 0.66 is what I'm using. It works good. It plays .wma files okay, not the best. I just wish it would play mpeg 2 files.

I think there's plugins for mpeg2...maybe...I forget.

I use TCPMP now. Everytime I turned off my PPC when running a vid in BetaPlayer, I'd turn it back on and 30 seconds to 1 minute later have buffer problems and have to reload the video.

TCPMP seeks alot faster and does not have the buffer issue. This is the kind of software that I would pay for.

Perfection!

I hopped over to TCPMP from Betaplayer. No downsides so far, and the following problematic issues with Betaplayer have been fixed.

- Pausing and re-starting music using a defined hot key (thumb wheel click in my case) now reliable. Under betaplayer the application would occasionally lose focus. I has to turn on the screen and re-focus to betaplayer to get it back.
- WMA support (not a biggie but useful for that odd wma track your mate gives you)
- Improved video performance. Used to occasional pauses when playing from the SD card. Gone now!
