Hmmm, would that be the backlight/screen settings on your Axim?
PocketMVP has a "keep alive" option that will (supposedly) keep the screen from powering down during playback. You could always set the controls on the Axim to stay on constantly while on battery power. | ||||

I tried both and found that Pocket MVP handled the video MUCH MUCH better. With pocket divx it would get hits all over the place and the same move places perfect on MVP. The dimming is the backlight timing out. you can change that from your settings panel or some programs have a Keep alive functions

The "readme.txt" of the program states that it supports the following formats:
"DivX, OpenDivX, MPEG-4, MPEG-1 and VP3 videos, OGM and AVI containers, MP3 and OGG audio." | ||||
