Anybody come up with any ideas on how to watch movies on the AXIM and be comfortable?? It kinda sucks having to hold the axim in front of you for 2 hours! Anyone know of any holders that will hold the axim sideways while I am on my bed at work? (Yes I have a bed at work, im a firefighter) A clamp that will cilp on to the back of the bed and rest in front of me would be great.
Or does anyone one out there have any self made props or ideas to share? Thanks in Advance, Jerry ![]()

I actually use my rhino skin case as a prop. I will fold the door over on it and prop up the axim so I don't have to hold it the entire time.

You need something like a bedside lamp with a flexible or extensible arm. Then attach a car mount to the arm. I attach two images of the unpowered Arkon car mount. You get the idea. The mount is included for free in most current GPS receiver offers. I have no idea how much it or something comparable costs on its own but it can't be much.

Here is the Arkon website. See if anything here will suit your needs. You should be able to get the mount here and fabricate a gooseneck using some flexible steel tubing ( like from a gooseneck lamp ). Building supply warehouses sell the flexible steel tubing and mighe even have the connecting ends ( brackets ). Arkon sells a kit with a 15" gooseneck. The bracket just bolts onto the gooseneck, so you might be able to make your own to fit your headrest or wall.

Great ideas guys... I am going to try it. I think I am going to purchase this mount and try to come up with a flexi arm to clip to the back of the bed and and hang it in front of me. I will work on it and post some pics when i get it done.
Thanks, Jerry | |||

Bring the axim cradle with you to work. If you want to keep the cradle at home, i think they have them for 30 bucks on dell's website. I beleave it is cheaper then the GPS mount.

there is no need for a powered mount because they only work off a lighter socket in a car anyway.
try this:- http://www.expansys-usa.com/product....asource=123068 I think the Ikea idea is a good one. Get a tall adjustable lamp like this :- http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/store...ts=10111*10270 Remove the shade and bulb then attach the mount to the top. Job done

You could probably get some flex tubing at the local hardware store, a light plastic backplate, and some velcro. Create a mount for the tubing to attach to the bed/wall and use the velcro on the back of the Ax to attach it to the plastic backplate.
You can get the same tubing that's used in the lamps.
