No/Low Audio with Fairuse?
Hi gang,

I encoded my first two video for a long plane trip we just got back from. Unfortunately, I didn't test the audio before I left (I assumed it was just ok) so when we went to watch the movies, 1 had no audio, and 1 had very low audio. I had the volume on the Axim cranked up all the way, but could barely hear it. Keep in mind, this was on a plane, so there was a lot of background noise, but even the one with low audio was un-watchable.

Anyone else ever ran into this? I remember I moved my audio settings down to 64bit, or whatever that setting is, down from the default 128-bit. Was this my problem? Or did something else happen?

Aaron

Normally it is not an encoding problem as FairUse does a good job with the Audio. I am assuming you were using TCPMP(betaplayer) to watch them. If that is the case one thing I have found is TCPMP has a option to use the "System Volume" or its own control. Give the wrong combo of volume slider positions this can cause either to low or to much volume. It is the only idea I can think of for your problem. I would also try another movie and do some testing to see if this was a freak deal or something more consistant. Good Luck~

PS - In TCPMP go Options-Settings-Advanced and check the box for "Use System Volume" if it is not already. That is where I keep mine. The other option is to uncheck that box and turn your System volume way up, then use the TCPMP slider to make it even louder.
