Although it may not work, as DVD's have a high bitrate that is tough to throw out at 11 mbps, you can use videolan to stream a dvd. Check out their website at

There are instructions there on how to setup the client and the server, as well as configure the streaming portion of the system. I do not believe that you need the server component, as the client has that integrated into it at this point. I have used it to stream movies (not DVD, though) across my network to another PC in the house running 54g, but not 802.11b.
