Age old question: What "music" to go (DRM) program works?
I have an Axim X50v that I have had since the beginning of the year and love it. Considering subscribing to a Media to go service such as Yahoo Music or Napster to go. I want to be able to use their library on my Axim. I have Win XP with WMP10. It appears that Yahoo is no longer allowing easily according to other posts. True? I have a 1GB SD and 256 CF card that are itching for some new music. And yes, I want to stay legal, so no Kazaa or whatever...
I have a good friend with the Napster service on his portable MP3 player, but I can't see why I can't just add it to a PPC since they are more than capable.
Mazingo back before it folded had the best media to go service. It's gone now though.
Do you want me to change media to music in your thread header?

Thanks Panic. Changed it. I emailed Napster to ask and they referred me to their website. Pocketpc.com also did not help. It seems that no one uses their Axim through one of these subscription services. I may check Palms website since they are more prevalant. But I would venture with MS being in close with entertainment companies they would partner first for this.
I have debated the same thing for sometime as well. To date I have found that iTunes was the best for me. But not without using the great program form the Hymn-Project. Simple easy to use program that will convert your iTunes files to .mp3. Then I can do what I want with them, like transfer them to my Axim. Takes a couple of extra steps, but works for me. I like to buy my music rather then rent it al a Yahoo or Napster. But I also like to transfer it to my Axim or Rio. Hymn makes that possible. Good Luck~

I have my Axim X30 works perfectly with Napster. Just make sure you have lastest Napster (stand-alone, in-WMP plugin), and WMP 10 in your PC and PPC. By the way I never understand why people don't see that both Napster and Yahoo also provide the exact same service as iTune (buy-to-own) without having to subscribe. (though not as fast and simple)
I've been using Rhapsody-to-Go for a couple months now, and I like it a lot. The biggest downside to it, to me, is having to use Windows Media Player 10, which seems very feature-poor compared to other available players. However, it's worth it to me to be able to access thousands of songs and change the content of my Axim's music library any time I want. If I was using iTunes or some other pay-per-song service, it would have cost me a good $200+ to buy all the songs I've listened to in the past two months, as opposed to $30 to Rhapsody. No, I don't own the songs… I do own almost 200 CDs. I listen to maybe 20 of those CDs still, because I got bored with the rest. The subscription music service seems like a fantastic solution to me.
I have had a subscription to Rhapsody for the past 4 yrs (!), and just got my Axim v50 couple of months ago. For whatever reason, I didn't even think of using it as an mobile music player (I have a crappy Nomad IIc that I use on the treadmill).
I don't have a subscription to Rhapsody to Go, but I may after reading your post.
Question though: Do you have access to the entire Rhapsody library, or are you restricted to certain tracks?
Another Question: On the Rhapsody website, they don't seem to have the Dell Axim listed as a supported device. How did you get the music on there then?
