How long does it take to encode a 2 hour movie with PocketDivXEncoder?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows how long it takes to encode a VOB file to AVI with PocketDivXEncoder. I ripped the VOB file with DVDShrink and it was about 4.4 GB. I started to encode the VOB file with PocketDivXEncoder. It went through Pass1 and Pass 2. Then PocketDivXEncoder gave me a message on the bottom of the PocketDivXEncoder window indicating that Pass 2 was at -600%. It is now at -250% and descending in numbers.

I get about 13FPS with a HDTV movie, and about 30fps with normal DVD. So At 2 pass, a normal DVD will be a little less than double the length, and about the same length at one pass.

EDIT: Sorry, this is on a 3.2g P4 with a gig of 3200 Ram... Different machines will yield different results.

I use Dr. Divx and use a custom profile to ensure it fits either the width or the height of the screen exactly and use 2-pass processing.

It usually takes about 3.5 hrs to encode a 2 hr movie on a P4 2.67 GHz, 1 GB RAM PC.
