volume problem with gsplayer2

hey guys... i'm having a problem with gsplayer2. it plays all my music super loud, like ear-shatteringly loud, so i can't listen to it at all. tcpmp plays it just fine, the volume level is perfect for my ears, but gsplayer2 plays the exact same songs amny times louder. in gsplayer2 if you go to the tool (not tools) menu, there's a volume up/down feature. at level 8, it's way to loud. at volume 6, there's nothing coming out of the earphones. same with any level below that. tcpmp plays the same files normally. what's up with gsplayer2? it has a really nice interface, plus you can turn off the screen while listening to music, but i can't listen if it's so dman loud. anybody else having these problems?

thanks

Have you tried going to TOOLS/EQUILIZER/ then adjust the preamp so that the volume on GSPLAYER matches the volumes on other programs?

that helped, but it's still too loud. the preamp is all the way down, and the axim's main vlume is as a low as it'll go without muting. i have sensitive ears, i know, but i don't have this problem with tcpmp or windows media player...

too loud?
you all must have sensitive ears or something...

i have x50mix running in the background and i turned up the headphone boost to full plus full volume plus my earphones have only 16 ohms of impedance so they're even louder than standard ones...

and yeh.. i dont think its too loud...
