TCPMP ACC plugin error

I'm just converting from Betaplayer (yes, yes, I know) to TCPMP and I'm getting the following error:
Acc plugin is not compatible with current player version. Please update!

The player is up to date , of course, and all the plugins from the homepage are installed. Also - I'm getting this warning playing the file normally played with Beta

Picard removed AAC support after TCPMP v0.66a.

Why is that? Now I'm unable to play half of my music files

I would speculate that it's because he did not pay to licence the AAC codec. I don't know for sure, maybe someone can verify.

My message playing .3gps with AAC said it was an intellectual property thing.

According to Picard's website, "AAC removed from official binaries because of intellectual property considerations".

I know, it sucks. You should still be able to find v0.66a somewhere (just Google it).

According to this thread, there might be a working AAC plugin. I haven't tried it myself. If it works, let us know.

Actually, I just downloaded the plugin as well and it works awesome, I'm able to play aac files and to play video files with aac streams in them. However, does anyone have a aacplus plugin for TCPMP? My favorite Jpop radio station just went aacplus and I can't get to streaming it because of the lack of a aacplus plugi, I'm just wondering that's all.
