Saving streaming audio for ppc

I am not having much luck with this so any help would be appreciated.

I want to get an archived audio stream (with a wifi connection it comes through as a wma file) saved so I can listen to it without internet access ie in the car. I tried microsoft media encoder but even on full blast the sound is inaudible. I can listen to a stream on my x50v with wifi, I can listen to xm radio, rescoe radio doesn't seem to support the wma stream extension. etc. I would be willing to either use the ppc or my desktop. Alterantely this content is also streamed live daily so I could pull it to my computer. Not sure where to start.

Try TCPMP with the .wma file association box checked. You can then use the pre-amp to boost the volume.
