this might seem like a stupid question, i can't believe i can't figure it out myself, but how do i make a playlist with gsplayer2? whenever i go to open up some songs i can only play 1 at a time, instead of all the songs by the artist. what gives?
Under File... Open File... Open the folder of the album or artist or how ever you have them arranged, but don't tap on any particular song. Without selecting any single song, tap the icon at the bottom of the screen that looks like 6 blue exclamation points, then hit OK. This will select and play all the songs in that directory.
To make a playlist of what you're currently playing, select Tool... Playlist, and add, delete, or rearrange songs in the Playlist screen, then hit OK. This creates an internal playlist, but it's not yet saved.
To save the playlist, tap File... Save Playlist...
i just installed gsplayer and trying to get it to play some music that i copied onto a sd card. when i try to open my music files to play, when i get to the sub directory that contains the songs, the screen doesn't show any of my songs. curiously, it does see and does play several songs that are at the same level as my sub folders with the bulk of my songs.
i don't know if it helps, but when i "open file", the outline of the folders are dotted lines, as if they are "grayed out" anyway, i can't seem to "see" any of my files in any folder.
by the way, does anyone know of any tutorials on using gsplayer? i am a newbie when in comes to playing music on my axim.
by the way, what do all the icons on the bottom of the screen mean?
after posting my reply and plea for help, as i was exploring my sub folders, i discovered that i was able to "see" some of the songs. when i used file explorer to see inside each folder, i discovered something interesting. the files that i am able to see and play have an icon in front of the title that looks like a music note. the songs that i cannot see have an icon that looks suspiciously like the windows media player icon.
does this mean that gsplayer cannot play what looks like window media file types? if this is the case, can i change the file type of my songs so that i can play them in gsplayer?
i am anxious to compare using gsplayer and windows media to see which one i prefer. gsplayer does seem simpler, but if i can't play the bulk of my music, i can't use it.
