A new hardware item that would be beneficial would be a combination Wifi adapter and a Video/still camera. It would come in handy for programs that support video phone.

First, someone needs to come out with a reasonably capable camera at a reasonable price. So far, all I've seen is over priced junk. Then we can worry about mixing in wifi or, if you're looking for cell phone connectivity, preferably Bluetooth.

Here is a link to Lifeview inc, they hacve a few CF cameras starting just over $70 US and the high end camera is $169US. Check them out and please post you opinion,

Their best CF camera is still only 1.3 MP. Until they get up to 2.0 MP or better, I will still just cart along my 6 oz 4.1 MP digital camera.
