I have recently received a free copy of C2I Software to evaluate. I was interested in buying this product, but had some concerns as to how well it would work with my current set up. I have a new Dell Axim and the Belkin Bluetooth CF card that I use to connect via my Cellular Phoneto periodically check email while on the road. Rather than tell me it should work, the folks a 2kDevelpoment told me something I thought was quite remarkable. They said “I don’t know” and “Why don’t you try it and tell us?” They merely asked me for feedback in return.
I am not a frequent technical writer nor involved with any PPC or software company what-so-ever. I am a salesmen. I sell new CNC Machine Tools here in lovely southern California. I have no vested interest in any of the products that I own or use, except for my own personal use of these products. I want to make this perfectly clear that this is an un-solicited review posted to this site.
This software uniquely links email and SMS text messages thru a cellular phone that makes it so easy even a salesman can master it very quickly. I had never before realized how useful text messaging could be. No more do I have to squint at my mono chrome cell screen trying to read messages or fight with so called predictive text features. A quick message to co-workers, the kids…no problem. The kids are still the fastest to respond so far. I am sure some of my co-workers are still squinting, although they wont be for long. The quick responses I have been able to deliver (in the middle of a sales call) have already had a monetary benefit that my boss is interested in. I have been playing with this software for just over three days now.
From a new “Bar” across my today screen I can easily compose and send an SMS text message, email or check a yahoo map for directions quickly without ever touching my phone. It automatically synchronizes every few minutes (as you select) without ever even touching anything. It sync’s your phone book so quickly and easily that it’s just silly, really. Sending email from your outlook contacts…no problem it’s done. Sure, I did all of these things thru the same equipment with out this software. But I had to switch from this screen to that screen to the other screen. It all now happens from the Today Screen and in a more intuitive way. You remember…the way you actually work instead of the way the software actually works.
I can not imagine working with out C2I in the future and intend to remit payment for this software as it is easily worth the money. That is unless I can get my boss to pay for it!
