Could this be another "toy" for our Axim? This could be quite useful for those late hours at the pub or early mornings after the night before...

Too bad I'm not an AximSite hardware reviewer..... I could get it and try it out and have oh so much fun with it!!!

Didn't see a price on it yet. Works on the x50 with WM2003SE, x51 with WM5 "available soon."

We use PDA's alot to handle very sensitive data, medical data, that is protected under HIPAA. Biometrics will soon be required to protect data, and this seems to be something that will work. We are currently looking at this and have come up with questions.

1) How portable is the device really. I mean if you have to carry the device around with you does it kind of eliminate the ease of use of the PDA, and a device with a 15 inch cable does not seem to easily be put in your pocket.

2) When we get the SDK we are going to look at being able to lock the device, a file or simply a record. Alot of questions - but if it works, it will eliminate alot of headaches we are having having to ensure the security of our AXIMS.

Interesting use for it that I would never have thought of. I wish I could answer your questions for you, but I only found it, I don't have one.

Maybe Frenchy will get his hands on one and test it out. He's good at doing product reviews. Maybe your use would be a good test for a product review. A couple of days ago I sent a PM to Frenchy on this. Maybe you might wish to also to see if he has any plans of reviewing it.
