Sandisk 128MB + Wf-Fi (All-in-one)
Anyone seen this yet?
http://www.sandisk.com/consumer/connectplus_wifi.asp
I hope someone other than SanDisc makes one too.

I don't see why this wouldn't work with our devices. As far as I know, only the SecurDigital cards by SanDisk are a problem.
If they had this with a little more storage space, I'd be up for it. More like 512 or 1GB would be just right for me. :)

I had a Sandisk 128 CF and it worked great, so don't worry about the CF cards, only the SD.

I also feel there would be no problem with this working with an Ax but IMO, this card is directed at the poor PPC owners that only have a single memory card slot. I don't see much point in having a card having a double function like this when we have a perfectly fine sd slot for memory (well, fine if we avoid certain 'S' initialled cards). To me, it just has twice as many things that can go wrong.

I see SanDisk also has an SD Wi-Fi and an SD Wi-Fi/256MB combo card coming soon.

There would be a bigger question about whether these cards will work with the Axim. There's been a lot of discussion on other threads that the Ax probably does not support sdio.

What kind of trouble are you guys having with sandisk sd? I have a 64mb that I used in my toshiba e335, and now use the same one in my ax and have had no trouble.

I have a Scan disk 128 and never had a problem with it.
maybe the bad ones were just from a bad batch?

Look at this thread for details about the Sandisk problems. It fairly well established that it is 'real' (both Dell and Sandisk have admitted it to users that have called and say they are working on it but they believe it's the other's fault) and there have been some indications (in another thread) that most of the failures have been on cards made in Taiwan with particular serial numbers.
Aside froim all that, my last post above in reference to the sd memory/WiFi combo card possibly not working was related to the probable lack of an SDIO (secure digital input/output) interface on the Axim. No SDIO, no WiFi capabilities through that port.
