Based on this article from Ed Hardy, the editor of Brighthand, there may be new Axims coming next year after all. However, we really won't know until probably next fall.

I love axims, and I hope they continue making new ones, I still have X5, I love every bit of it, even the lack of ROM won't stop me from using it. Dell might consider getting into phone-integrated Axims, that's another option. Many people complained about Dell products low reliability and high repair rates, but my Axim never skipped a beat!
If they come up with a new one, I would probably buy x51v, so for those who are considering buying a new PPC, just buy it now, before they discontinue the models completely.
