OQO 02 because Mobilitysite doesn't have a 'Kick A** Stuff' Section
Also because you all will love to see how UMPC Pro's are catching up and personally this thing claims better batteyr life than I get.
Size Comparison of Sony UX series, OQO 02, hx4700, x51v, and a deck of cards.
Yes this is the exact specs of the Model 02 and yes it is small, and still works.
I don't understand how they can sell it for more than three times the price of the Axim when it is only slightly larger(slightly)
:ax: There goes the PDA market(in my mind). This thing is the real deal on size and usability, maybe in a few months I'll need to start cheking out UMPC sites.........
Anybody want to buy me one...........
If it had instant on and a touch screen it would be ultra cool. I love the portability aspect. As far as usability goes, we use Axims w/tiny screens so the OQO is even more usable and it has a full OS.
It has everything the Axim lacks, in a form just slightly larger.
32 bit OS :approve: Run real, full version software.
Active Digitizer :approve: Touching screen with hand or anything except digi-Pen while you write doesn't cause it to "blob" all over the screen.
a/b/g WiFi :approve: Can use faster protocol wireless, even on the near-vacant 5Ghz channels
WWAN :approve: Always online w/ high speed connection.
Full BT stack :approve: 'nuf said.
Ports :approve: All common ports except 1394 Firewire are built-in.
Of course, the Model :love:2 has other features, I'm just mentioning those where it betters the PDA.

Which very very simaler device was it that you tried?
Was it a Samsung Q1 ? ...or a Nokia 770 or N800 ? Maybe a Motorola Q ?

Other than Office and Internet Browser...you can't beat the software support for PDAs.

Pain in the butt to use and activate--touch screen not sensitive. Maybe it's my Asus R2H but the touch part sucks.

My R2H is decent but the battery life & heat coming from the fan area makes internet browsing not that enjoyable.
WWAN :approve: Always online w/ high speed connection.
Yeah--good point.
Full BT stack :approve: 'nuf said.
Also good. I agree.

Definately helps with file transfers.

What makes UMPCs not a replacement for my PDA is the LONG BOOT UP TIME! It takes freakin' forever for XP to boot up. Bloatware on the R2H isn't helping. I'm upgrading to Vista to see if it makes a difference. Other than what I mentioned, I like my R2H over any non-gaming laptop.
