Aximsitex50icon If Dell made a UMPC (lol you gotta see this)

LOL :approve:

I didn't make this image^ fyi

It reminds me of another mobile favorite of mine...

Meanwhile I'd like to see something like it to become a reality

Vote on my article, if you want Dell to stay in with mobile handhelds, either PDA or UMPC.

Vist Dell's Idea Storm, I emplore you to create your own ideas as well, don't put all your eggs in my article, spread them..

Looks like 2 Axims merged together. :p
Also if you've ever used a UMPC they use an analog stick, the X5#'s 5-way d-pad wouldn't cut it (and why 2 of them!?) since the sticks are used to control the mouse.

Overall I do like the similar design.

Its more of like they extruded the Axim and then copied the D pad twice. No offense to other posters but I think this design is crap. I mean come one look at the OQO 2 that looks so much better. Also I am totally against Dell going into the UMPC market. Why not just stay the leader of PDA market? If Dell leaves PDA market (well they left...) I think ASUS will take the lead. And I have this feeling that Dell wont do as good as they did in PDA. Just a feeling not a fact...

OQO 2 is the Axim X51v of UMPCs, especially if you get the Drive dock. :approve:
It'd be perfect it it ran SSD versus HDD...

Since Dell seemed to go all out with the Axim I'd assume they'd mark it for UMPCs as well. I was hoping that they would make another PDA too but also I thought it'd be cool if they would make a Dual OS UMPC with Windows Mobile and Windows Tablet as a high-end device and the PDA for standard. My article explains the idea better...

Easy guy ... it was done in fun, no one suggested it was an actual design! Don't take it so seriously!

That may be possible, if only aftermarket.

By the way, as far as I know, that is not an actual product using anything made by Apple, Orange or Pear, and should not be used in any iSuites ie: lawsuits.
