Question Plans For A New Axim?

Is Dell planning on releasing something comparable to the iPAQ 5555, with built in bluetooth and WiFi and 128 MB of RAM any time soon? It would be nice. Especially if they included a real CF slot in addition to the SD slot that HP/Compaq had. iPAQ uses a sleeve for CF!

I read online news reports about a new PocketPC with those specs but it wasn't identified with a model number.

You have to believe they will, but when is another question.

To be honest i doubt well see a new Dell PDA till the new year, the fiasco with WM2003 needs to be sorted and they probably need to shift a few more of the current Axim first.

But as long as they keep a decent price and introduce built in features such as those of the ipaq 5550 then im sure itll do well (at least until ppc2004 comes along :p )

I came across this article on Australian IT from a link on bargainpda.com It talks about a new Dell with built-in bluetooth, WiFi and all 3 wireless phone standards (GPRS, CDMA, & GSM) Although considering the current PPC2003 troubles it's hard to tell if and when this will become a reality.

I don't know if anybody else has mentioned this article but I did not see it referenced anyplace else so thought I'd mention it.

Cool Well with Electroincs for consumers

Its always develope and release or die. To many companies have rested on thier laurals and regreated it. We should all thank hard core Gamers and the sapce program because they are the ones (in my humble opione) that have driven the industry to where it is now and we all have benifited from them.....amazing to think those two could have such a profound relationship to world society. And yeah I bet we can have good debates over my comments............and there are more "groups" that contribited as well.
