I have the Symbol card and I have no complaints. Yes you can still access the headphone jack with the unit installed. The power management features look quite advanced, but I don't have a comparison.
I like it due to the low-power consumption of the device and had no real reason to look for a back-up battery.
On the low side (not at all Symbol's issue) is that I cannot find any "sniffer" software.
