Hey, did anybody see this
http://www.boxwave.com/products/minisync/i...?type=DELL_AXIM
It looks way cool.
The web site says it will be available Feb 15. Now I'm sorry I bought the Dell synch cable.

Does the sync cable (without the cradle and power cord) charge the Axim? I was under the impression that it did not.
I'd love to get this cord if it charges the Axim as it says it will.

When I heard about this cable I decided not to order the Dell sync cable, I hope it is as good as it looks. I wonder how much juice it can pull from a USB port? Will it charge as fast as a regular power cable?
Can't wait to hear about it when it actually ships.

This is gorgeous - did you notice the screen protectors?
A one-apply product?!?! I don't believe it!! :(
How I wish I hadn't ordered my WriteShields...
Sigh!

Nah, Writeshields ROCK! They have the best feel of any screen protectors. I've never found any others that work as well IMO.

3) Our Cleartouch is amazing. We have received rave reviews from nearly EVERYONE who has used our product.
Cagey ;), you gotta try us out then.
Best wishes now,

Hello, Wing,
I have another question: Will the Axim's charge light glow when this mini-sync cord is plugged in? Will it get a full charge or just a trickle charge? Will the power setting show the Axim as charging?
I'd love to get this for travel, but if it's only a trickle charge, I'll have to bring the power adaptor with me on long trips.
Thanks in advance ... and keeping my fingers crossed it will do what I need it to do...
Donna

I bought a USB charge/sync cable from this guy for $7.99 plus shipping. It charges when connected to a powered PC and laptop. yes the little light above the LCD glows orange during charging and green once charged. It seems to be the same amount of charge power that my cradle has.

I like the original device shown above but for $12 for a cable that goes in my laptop bag, its great. At $8 each, you could actually get 2, one for your laptop, and work PC.

I have not personally seen a combo sync/car adapter charger set up for say a GPS unit.
One option for driving and GPS use is the serial cable plugged into the lower port and a car adapter into the power port (barrel plug).
This car charger uses the lower port (via ebay):
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...3&category=3728
Which occupies the lower port. Drawback is of course if you need to sync (USB or Serial).
This one leaves the lower port open and charges via the barrel type power plug (ebay):

Maybe you are talking of this and I am reading too much into your question hahaha:
It is a USB charger/sync cable. The USB cable plugs into the DC/Car adapter.

Sorry for the ebay plugs but they have decent prices.

Dennis,
Please don't quote me on this, but I am assuming that this miniSync works as it has for all other PDAs we support (I've seen it personally on 1910s, Clies, etc.).
You get the full charge (no trickle) and yep, all the lights flash as well : ).
Hope this answers your question,
Wing
P.S. does anyone else think this smiley face looks kinda cute?
Haha...okay, back to work :).

The mini sync looks pretty sweet. I ordered the sync cable from dell and use it at home (with no charging capability) and have the cradle that came with the 400 at the office. Lately I have been meaning to swap them as I have run down the battery at home. I was considering purchasing another cradle from dell but looks like I might try the mini sync. :D
