I know it's not an Axim product, but I am so pleased w/ my new headphones I thought I'd post this.
They're the Sony, Studio Monitor style, and have big, cushy ear cups, and really sound superb. I got the kind w/ the volume control on the cord for $30, but saw some plain ones at Best Buy for $20. IMO, a must-have, and cheap!
The jack has a mini plug for the Axim, and an adapter for a rack system size (gold plated).

People say the built-in speaker is lame. I think it was a good trick getting the audio to play on the alert buzzer!

I mapped the D-pad up and down for volume control.

"I mapped the D-pad up and down for volume control."

You realize that you can use the scroll button also to pump up or down the volume. It comes in handy when you are holding the Axim in your left hand and use your thumb on the scroll button for the volume.

Cheaper headphones, but just as good
Funny thing seeing "headphones" mentioned here. I just bought a pair of Koss KSC15 for $25 Canadian. The sound has amazing clarity and separation. They also have the volume control built in which is great when you're working in another screen. I populate Excel when I'm at the gym, and have Media Player working in the background.

Heck ... I just love my Axim! Ha ha ha.

I bought new headphones today as well.
REALLY EXTREMELY GOOD SOUND!

I can't believe the quality and clarity.
KOSS Sportapro

Really the best earphones I ever bought. And they're foldable! Don't take up much space when you're carrying them with your AX. You can also flip the headband back if have a hat or something.

And again, the sound is amazing. The bass is very good for a pair of headphones that aren't the size of princess leias cinnamon bun hair do.

Here's a picture of the Sony Studio style headphones.
It has an in-line volume control, but no bass/treb adj.

The ones I use are Jensen's I got from Best Buy that have a volume control as well as a mute button. Sound is great but would like to up the bass a bit.

You haven't lived until you hear the quality from a set of Grado headphones (model 60 are economical and great listening but the model 40's are more affordable). These are thought of as the best headphone lines in the world. I can hear why!

The company site is www.gradolabs.com and if you google on Grado Headphones, they can direct you to online vendors that sell them.
