I owned a Vaja case for Clie NR70V. Paid a good deal of money for it. It really isnt worth it to pay more than 100 bucks for a leather case for the Dell Axim. The Axim is is a mid range economical PPC. The extra 100 bucks spent on a Vaja case could buy you:
1) a better pocket pc
2) a 256 mb SD or CF card plus a wireless 802.11b CF card on ebay for really cheap
3) or other stuff such as software and screen protectors and real essentials. A case is essential but NOT an expensive case. I learned the hard way.
By the way, for the record, my NR70V fell out of its Vaja case onto the concrete city sidewalk and nearly broke.
Anyway the point is you will not own you Axim forever. You will upgrade to the newest hottest technology as it comes out. So whats the point of an expensive custom form-fitted case that doesnt do a hell of a good job if you wont be able to use the same case on your next PDA?
I have an Axim 400 now. I sold my NR70V to a coworker but he didnt want to pay me for the Vaja case. So now it sits here useless gathering dust as a reminder of the stupid stuff I have wasted my money on in the past and as a warning not to make the same foolish spending mistakes again
O yea the Vaja Ivolution for the IPAQ is gorgeous no doubt about it but IPAQ's are cream of the crop PPC's with bluetooth and wireless all builtin selling at a premium price while Axims are just mid range PPC's selling at midrange prices. But if you like the Vaja case that much buy it by all means.
