I got an email today from Pocket PC Techs requesting payment on my writeshields for my axim.
I will keep all updated on the status of the order and if they are shipping now or just wanting me to pay.
:)

Yeah, i ordered my writeshields a while ago, and they shipped today. I can't wait to get them.
Mine shipped yesterday. I hope they work better than the WriteRights. I got fingerprints all under them, and then couldn't get them off, because when I peeled it up, I just got more fingerprints on them. :(

Question - did you guys/gals pre-order the WriteShields or did you order on/after 12/27? I ordered on the 27th and haven't received an email about my order being shipped. I hope I get them soon, the plastic film I have on the Axim screen is getting worn down pretty quickly!
Rayne413, WriteShields are infinitely better than writerights. I have used them on my Casio EM500 and ordered some for my new Axim. Not hearing anything from them I e-mailed them and they replied saying they received over 200 orders and were trying to fill them as fast as they could.
Received my Write Shields yesterday. The biggest difference I have found from using inexpensive Belkins is the feel of the stylus on the screen when writing in transcriber mode. It is almost like writing on paper and I seem to get almost 100% recognition.

They are semi sticky/ static held. ( I know that didn't help at all!) But you can remove them and clean them. If you get some dust under them while applying, you can peel it back and use scotch tape to remove the lint. Just be careful not to crease the protector on the edge when removing or it will not sit properly at the edge. ( there will be a small bubble)
I ordered mine on 12/30.. and was waiting for my shipping notification... I thought I was not getting the notification because of the holiday... but you know what I found out today? I was just checking my order receipt email... and it said...
"Please confirm the information received below by replying to this message.

Doh~
I just replied to it... and hopefully it will still go through and I would get the confirmation soon... :(

I feel so dumb now...
I ordered mine on 12/27/02, after I saw they were available on the site. I replied immediately to the same exact email about confirming the order, but I still haven't received any email about when my order will be shipped. Robow8 did mention that there were over 200 advanced orders though. So I'm sure they're (rightfully) fulfilling those orders first before they get to mine.

They are really easy to apply. I did it on the first try (which says a lot!) You just align the top of the shield and then unroll the backing like a sticker. Piece of cake! It comes with some cool little pointy sticks to help remove it if you get dust under it. It also has a nice anti-glare surface which will help a lot if your business uses lots of flourescent lights.
