Question Auto Shut Down

Is there an auto shut down on the Axim? I failed to turn mine off and I'm out of town and forgot my charger. Also, is there a third party charger that I can use without damage to the Axim?

Can't help with the third party charger, but I suggest you go into the Power settings on your Axim and tell it to turn itself off after 2 minutes or less.

Mad Must be something wrong

Thanks for the tip. I have it set for 3 minutes. There must be something wrong with my Axim. I found a charger and recharged the battery to 100%. After the Axim was turned off for about two hours I rechecked the battery meter and it was down to 89%. This is with no usage. Has any body else had this problem?

That doesn't sound right. One trap I fell into early is that the power button has two functions. A quick tap is on/off, a longer press is bright/dim. The dim is totally dark, but under a bright light you can still see the screen. I thought I had turned it off when all I had done was dim the screen. I have now trained myself to quick click to get on/off.

Could that have happened to you?

Thanks for the tip

Moderator,

I did. Found the Digipower DPS-9000 on clearance ($21.99) at the Little Rock, AR BestBuy. They only had one left and the package was opened and missing the DP-1S cable (for Sony). So the clerk reduced again. I paid $10.99. It also works on my Canon digital camera and Axim. What a deal!!
