I have an older GPS (Garmin III Plus) and I was wondering if anyone has seen a cable that will let me connect this to my Axim?

To answer a question on your web page, yes the Radio Shack 9pin M/F & M/M gender changer does in fact work($6+ each). I'm using it with an Axim serial cable and Garmin PC cable to my Garmin GPS 12.
