thumb keyboard

For the thumb keyboard, go to Dell.com , then handhelds then , accessories it will be under the keyboard categories, click on the item and it will give a picture. I just ordered one but it is back ordered until March 10. (I ordered about 10 days ago)

More than likely it will ship earlier than that. I ordered in January, and was told that it wouldn't ship until February 10th, and I received it more quickly than that.

I give UP! Searched Dell.com and just CANNOT find a link to the snap-on keyboad. I found the downloadable drivers...but no keyboard.

Could you be so kind as to post a link?

Thanks.

Thanks iceman, but that's not the one I'm looking for. Looking for the smaller thumb keyboard.

I found it -finally- through the DELL higher education area - but could find no way to order it as a "home" user. I'll call and order it in the AM I guess.

I had to order mine over the phone, but I had no problem doing it.

How much was it? Regular customers can't buy it through the Higher-Education store, which is the only place I see it online. I don't want to have to call and order it that way. I might just wait until the IR keyboard at www.pocketop.net goes down to like $70-80, and it would be a lot easier to type notes for class and pocketword/excel documents too. Plus, it looks really cool.

thumboard looks nice, and so does that IR keyboard on pocketop... but heck if I want to rely on the IR of the Axim. I aligned two Axims to beam and it takes forever. On the other hand, my old Palm IIIxe can turn my TV off from 25 feet away! Why is the IR on the Axim so weak and picky?

Another good question... Does the pocketop IR keyboard work well and eficiently? Does anyone have it and have any complaints or wish to commend it? Also, is the thumb-keyboard hard to type with and does it get irritating after a while?

I have the pocketop keyboard and I find the best way to use it (at least for me) is to lay it on its side in the cradle. The software for the keyboard is downloadable from the pocketop site which installs the driver and a program to allow you to use the Dell in the landscape mode. Using it that way I have never had any problems getting it to work and I like it better in the landscape mode. Using the Dell in the portrait mode you have to fool around aligning the reflector on the stand too much. I like the keyboard a lot.
