I think the best solution would be a Tape that is bluetoothed you insert to the tape (that you of course dont use anymore nowadays) but i guess this is not yet invented. And i guess thats not possible as the decoder would have to be in the tape ?!
any other wireless possibilities to bring your mp3 to the speakers of your Ferrari ?
Well if its a Ferrai, I would think you would be willing to spend a little to upgrade the sound system.
But perhaps you want to keep it in mint oem condition There are several FM transmitters such as the Belkin Tunecast (think thats the name) and the Irock thing they go for an average of $25 and people have mixed opinions about them but it will be nice and wireless to your car. Just set the radio to a nice silent station and turn the transmitter on.
that bt tape converter idea is great! for now you are propably better off with the cord tape converter, i know it's not high tech and all, but you will get the best audio quality. FM trasmitter works, but quality isn't that high. oh, and if you got some extra money laying around, there are some really neat bt ebled cars! i also read on the web that you can hack the audio setup in the car to have a aux(headphone) audio input, but i would not recommend it.
i heard the fm thing has many interference problems. Oh btw the Ferrari thing was a joke
i have a belkin tunecast (the one where you can choose any frequency between 88.1 and 107.9). i usually look for the most staticy (sp?) station and the best place in the car to put it, and it seems to work just fine--and i live in a big city--san fran. but i can understand how in some areas it wouldn't work so well. i brought it with me to new zealand and it worked incredibly! if you decided to get that one it has programmable frequencies on it so that if you're in a familiar place you don't have to fumble around with it. good luck!
the perfect way to connect is...
the radio has AUX or line in jack
connect each other with cable
ABSOLUTELY NO HASSLE, BEST AUDIO QUALITY (for analog connection)
I have had no problems with the FM transmitter. Great sound IMHO. Of course I do have a tin ear and can not carry a tune in a bucket. But sounds fine to me. The cassette thing is nice but if no cassette SOL. The AUX jack works great when you have it also. My personnal vehicle has the AUX jack and no cassette. The work truck has no cassette and no AUX jack on the radio. So I use an FM transmitter in the truck. It all depends on the radio you have in your vehicle as how you listen to PDA. The thing that is fun is to have an FM transmitter that can over ride local radio stations in immediate vicinity and fool with other peoples radio. Of course this is illegal according to the FCC because you are interfering with another properly working electronic device. Or something along those lines. But as the saying goes "Perfectly legal until you get caught" with in moral reasons. No kiddie porn or anything along those lines.

If you don't have a cassette player, the best thing is an inline FM modulator.
Those cut off the antenna signal when there's an input, IIRC. The problem with the iRock and other little jobs that sit on your car seat is that they aren't worth a crap if you're moving out of and into different radio regions. You constantly have to futz with them to get a clear channel. Even in the relatively station free California Central Valley I had to mess with it every hour as a formerly clear channel would come on with country or mariachi music and override my wireless modulator.
The inline modulators are around $40. Kenwood has a really nice one for around $50.
The problem with the "wireless" FM modulators is that the signal has to go from someplace inside your car to your antenna, and the metal in your car provides excellent shielding from your antenna if it's on one of the rear quarter panels.
Incidentally, every time I write "modulator" I say it in my head like Marvin Martian in the old Warner Bros. Cartoons. "Moda-Yooo-Late-Ohr".

If you want to see the crap I have on and for my Axim, click View MyPDA.
well on my BMW 3 series theres a possibility to add an Ipod that you can even control by the navigation. Problem is I have enough devices and I tend to reduce them and not by one for mp3 one for camera one for telephone one for data (PDA) and so on.
i have a pioneer DEH-6400 deck, and out of it is the IPBUS to RCA converter and out of that comes a RCA to 3.5" headset jack adapter, plug the adapter into the pda, crank the sound to about 3/4 max and let it rip
