i don't quite understand the point of BT printers, why not WiFi/LAN?
And perhaps moving on my thoughts on my ideal headphone/headset, how about separate BT stereo headphone (for music)and then would you be able to add a BT microphone, do you think that would work??? (the microphone would be added for those Skype moments!)
But then I guess it would be too much to ask for, Two Audio devices (Headphones and Microphones) on BT!!!!!!!??????????
It should work fine, there is plenty of bandwidth. There is no need to have two seperate devices the cost would be great for two and its just more to carry around. I think a pair of sterio headphones with a retractable mic would be ideal. Then again these companies never seem to listen to us little guys, no were just the ones who buy this stuff thats all.

I'm awaiting Verizon to unlock the Bluetooth in my V710 so I can connect as it was indicated. That's one of the main reasons I got that phone; to be able to usa my X5. They have my phone & by default, X5 crippled.

What are you looking to do over BT with your 710? Something other then net access or BT dialing?
Hi, I have now spotted the very thing I was looking for, although not in my favourite colour and still looking something out of "Blakes 7", http://www.sonorix.com/eng/product/product_bap.php , expensive by all accounts and not really my cup of tea, but fits my bill of requirements, BT Headset and Mic basically! Perhaps I'll wait until BT 2.0 comes out later this year and in the meantime keep my ears warm with the HP offerings!!

$230! For that price I could but a real nice pair of sennheiser or bose noise canceling headphones. and live with a wire.

I know what ya mean!
But it shows that developers are looking into what interests us, and eventually in time to come, the price will come down, specially when they design some subtle brands!
I figure that if I would be buying a BT headphone, I would want to use it for other things other than just the PDA. What would be nice is an analog-audio-to-BT adapter so I can listen wireless listen to analog audio sources such as my TV or stereo. The before mentioned kit does come with such an adapter, but it only works with its own headphone. I guess once BT 1.2 or higher becomes more popular, such an adapter will come out.

I would imagine that you could also use this Headphone with your phone and other Bluetooth devices (laptops etc). And I guess the Bluetooth Analogue Audio adapter you mention will work with other Bluetooth Headphones, as long as you are able to pair them and/or I am sure you can by such an adapter seperately in the market today and use with your existing BT headphones if you require.
Also, I received an email yesterday from a suppier in London that can sell these Headsets unit, OBH-0100, at £125.56 (GBP) (not sure if this includes VAT), wholesale, Minimum Order is at 10 Units.
If ten people are interested and willing to put up the money up-front, I would be happy to go ahead with the order (I am also going over to the states in May, and therefore could eliminate the Customs fees for those in the US), however, I am not keen at present to commit to this model at present, as I am hoping to get my hands on the HP BT headphones at around half the above price.
Hi, been away for a short while but thought you'd be interested in this Headphone, Ideal for requirements, ie, listen to music and have the abilility to have drop down discrete microphone for chats on phone or Skype, how brilliant is this:
there isn't enough bandwidth with bluetooth to support high quality audio, or video.
Bluetooth 1.2 can attain 700kbps. A high quality MP3 is 320kbps, while a VHS quality video is just slightly higher.
Bluetooth 2.0 can attain probably 4Mbps (last time I checked), enough for VCD quality video (about 1.5Mbps).
Of course, Bluetooth was never designed for video; that's what WiFi's for!

We're about 2 years or more away from improvements in BT bandwidth. See this news article re BT/UWB -Bluetooth/UltraWideBand
