Axim link cable to the T68i?

Does anyone know if there is a cable that would link your axim to the sony ericsson T68i? Also if you can you put down the link?Thanks!:D

.....would you consider getting a Bluetooth card and doing the same thing, only without a cable? That would be my choice....

I have had contact with a Sony Ericsson device and connected to GPRS via INFRARRED.

I think is better than a cable.

I strongly suggest the bluetooth connectivity. I'm using it and it's great - not perfect 56k speeds, but enough to get done what needs to get done :)

One thing to note about the T68i is when you're connected to the GPRS network, it does run the battery down MUCH faster, so try to connect only when needed.

I agree ! Use Bluetooth. I use an Ambicom bt card with my T68i and have had no problems. Just make sure you have the updated drivers for the card. I also use the infrared to connect via CSD @ 9600 (when I forget my bt card) which is real slow but okay for checking email and using free wknd minutes.

What carrier is your phone under. Im with cingular and i found out that you have to enable web usage plan to use my Axim with my phone. It give my like 3mb a month for $3.99 a month. Which is not to bad but still i rather have it for free like version or ATT.

I'm in Canada - so I use something different than all of you Americans :) My plan is fairly reasonable, for what I need it for. It's $50/month for unlimited data (and they really DO mean unlimited), that doesn't include the $30/month for standard phone service.

So added up, I pay, in US funds, about $50US/month for my phone and data service (which includes 300min/month, caller ID, display, etc.)

BTW - the provider I use is Fido, just in case any Canadians didn't know :)

I don't know - I'm happy with my T68i (especially at the $230US I paid for it :)) and I have a feeling this baby is going to be a LOT more expensive than that.

Beautiful, but far more expensive ;)

I do love my T68 also..would'nt trade it in for anything...until now !
But my wife won't let me buy anything else (don't laugh)electronic/cellular/etc., due to the Axim incident (I lied and said my Ipaq was broke and needed an Axim...and my sons told on me :crooked: ). So I'm gonna offer her my T68i so that I can possibly get a T610 when they come out !

Hopefully they are around the $350-$400 (US) price range. I checked at eXpansys and they are taking pre-orders (no price yet)

LOL - Don't I know how you feel. I've had to make up MANY excuses to

- GET the Axim
- Get the extended battery
- Get the Bluetooth Card
- Get the T68i

What she DOESN'T know is that I've got:

- Thumbpad/Snapon keyboard (I love it, but data entry really needs to get beefed up, y'know! It's productivity enhancement - it's email on the go, to customers!)
- 256mb SD card (I can't use my CF card slot now that I have the Bluetooth card... So I *need* something as a replacement, right? )
- Bluetooth dongle for my computer. Well... okay, so I really don't need it, but I've already ordered it, so it's too late now, right? :)
