Ethernet and 802.11x (wireless) are 2 completely different protocols so it would be one hell of a CF card when the put both functions in 1 CF card...

never seen it, doubt I will ever...

just buy a CF ethernet and a wireless.. they're not that expensive anymore.

I don't think this is what Beyond is looking for. I believe he is looking for an 802.11 CF card with a connector for an external 802.11 antenna....kinda like a boosted antenna for stronger reception. I've seen them for PCI-based desktop cards, but I have not seen them for either CF or PCMCIA based cards. I'm not saying they don't exist or that they'll never exist, just that as far as I know, no manufacturers currently make them.

oops.. had another thing in mind when replying...

You can create your own external antenna connector but that voids your warranty..

Most (expensive)PCMCIA cards have a connector for a antenna.

Cisco, Cabletron/Enterasys, Orinoco, etc.

CF on the other hand, not that know of, but most manufacturers of CF Wireless are mainly what I call home use.(Linksys, Netgear, D-Link, etc..) Who knows maybe someday Cisco or Lucent will get off their collective butts and put out a great CF card.(Not that I have a problem with my Linksys or anything.) Doubtful.

A external antenna for a CF card doesn't seem very practical. Car use, sure, but for walking around with, you'd look really funny. :p

Why not make an attachment that turns your entire PDA into an antenna? This would work great on stuff like the e740 and that HP one, but a setup for the current Axim would need something that can be removed or tucked away when you aren't using a CF WiFi card.

Wireless CF

Thanks everybody.

The reason that i´m looking for a Wireless Cf with connector for external antenna it´s because actualy some of my friend and me are working on wireless lan connections.

Usualy we use laptops with wireless lan and directionals antennas for signals checking and it´s very interesting do it with a PDA whin a small directional antennal.

Excuse me for my english.

Why not just get a cheap card and pop it open and solder something on? The Dlink 660 I have looks like it would be pretty easy to get into.
