I ordered a slipper case for my Axim a week ago. Has anyone gotten an EB Case for their Axim yet? I can't tell from their site if they are sending them out yet and I haven't gotten a tracking number from them. I am so afraid that I am gonna bounce it off the floor before I get my case. :(

Let's avoid yet another neurotic feeding frenzy.

Same as you, I PRE-ORDERED the slipper case. The information, as best they could provide it is that it would be available in early January. If you look at the web site, you will see that it is still in a pre-order status. When it's available, they will ship it. If you don't trust the Company to do that, why did you order it?

I was just wondering if they were shipping them yet, since my order says "backordered". Its not about trusting the company. I'm sure they have been inundated with orders from Axim owners and are doing their best to get a quality product out as soon as possible.

It is about not trusting my slippery fingers! I'm just going off my own experience, I've been through 3 phones in the last 6 months because of dropping them or banging them on something! And as careful as I am with my Axim, as my luck goes, I will drop it as the UPS truck is pulling up outside the office!

I have the EB Co-Pilot 20 case. Received it within about 5 working days of ordering it, despite the fact that it said it was backordered. This may be because they sent me their older belt clip, with the option to get, free of charge, their updated clip, to be shipped early this month.

The case is great - works well. I am looking forward to getting the newer clip. When you take the case off, sometimes the clip digs into your hip a bit! This is easily remedied by removing the clip, but I have a feeling that the newer clip is more comfortable to wear.

The case protects the unit well. The only part of a belted solution that isn't great is that you need to remove it to buckle up in the car. You COULD wear it while driving, but it isn't that comfortable. At work, if it weren't in the cradle, I actually could keep it on my belt while sitting at my desk.

i am very happy with the case.

Thanks for the info. Glad you like your case.

I use a "sticky pad" when I am in the car. Got it at Office Depot for $6. You just set it on the dash or center console and it holds the Axim or cell phone etc. in place. Its really quite amazing. I've tried to get my phone to slip off it and I can't!

I like it because it keeps my axim off of the seat and where I can see it so I don't leave the car without it.

I ordered the slipper case without the belt clip on 12/27/02? I received an email that it shipped on 1/9/03. I don't have it yet, but am excited that it's on the way. I'll let you know how it is when I get it. :D

I just received my EB slipper case today. I am pretty pleased. The leather is very nice and the workmanship is good.
The Axim fits inside very securely. There are well positioned slots and openings for the jog-dial and SD card on the right side, for the headphone jack on top, and for the power jack and travel cable on the bottom.

It is a little thick, but it DOES fit inside of an inside-chest, suit jacket pocket, which is what I needed.

I don't think you can fit more than a few business cards in the card slots under the flip cover, but I didn't expect anything else with this style case.

The one bummer--although, again, not a surprise--is that you can't fit the Axim in the syncing cradle while inside of the case. I have a travel cable, too, so if I want to leave it in the case and sync it I can, but I LOVE the cradle. Oh well...a small price to pay.

Now that I've received my Slipper Case (no belt clip) and Travel Kit, I'm guessing that about the only thing I will be doing with my cradle is charging my spare battery -- for the few times I will actually need it.

Of all of the leather cases I've had for phones and PDAs, the Slipper is the only one that actually looks and feels like an integral part of the device. And, since the USB HotSync and Charger Cable, pretty much fulfills all of the functions of the cradle, there doesn't appear to be many reasons to keep pulling it in and out of the case, except for when I decide to use the Dell "thumbpa I ordered.

I'm even debating whether or not to order a spare USB HotSync and Charger Cable
(http://www.ebcases.com/Detail.bok?&no=220) so that I can keep one in my car and one with my computer.

Now I know why I waited for a reasonably-priced PocketPC (the fact that it's a Dell was a bonus) -- so I could spend all of the money I saved on accessories.

Anyone in the market for a slightly used Dell leather case? Or a one-owner Dell USB synch cable? (No -- they're not for sale.)

Like several of you, I pre-ordered the Slipper case (w/ belt clip) when it first was announced and received mine about a week or so ago. I previously had purchased a Slipper case (w/ belt clip) for my Handera 330 and I was extremely pleased by the quality of the construction. There was definite attention to detail.

To echo the comments of previous posters, the case is excellent. There are cutouts for everything you would expect. The belt clip is also well designed. My previous Slipper case had a belt clip that required you to puch down on the clip to release the PDA. The Slipper case for the Axim requires you to softly more the spring-loaded slide towards your front (assuming you carry the belt clip on your right-hand side B) ). It works great and does not require that the PDA be in any particular position to remove it from the belt clip.

Also, MTB brings up a good point, those who are comfortable with using the USB Sync cable instead of a Sync cradle will be pleased that the slots exist on the bottom of the case. If you use the cradle (like I do), then you will have to remove the PDA from the case in order to sync or charge the unit. With my older Handera 330 Slipper case, I could leave the PDA in the slipper case and I was still able to sync, but the Axim sync cradle is far too tight for that kind of activity.

All-in-all, another great purchase from EB Cases. These folks do their homework. You won't be disappointed with this purchase. I certainly wasn't.
