I read a review somewhere saying the performance of running Windows XP is horrible. And, be aware, the price is steep. I'd rather seriously waiting for Nokia 770, which may only cost $350.
you guys have to remember that these handtops are the first generation of ultra small computers(full computers). even though these handtop's specs wouldnt fullfill just about anyones wishes, these things are high tech, and for what they are they are great(even though they suck. if that makes sense)
the sony has been out for a while now and is cool but it doesnt have a keyboard.
if there was only 1 device that has all the pros and no negatives(i guess i will have to wait forever for that device.)
yeah the flipstart seems cool but it doesnt have touchscreen, and isnt out yet(thats the only 2 downsides)
the oqo has horrible battery life(but it looks damn cool) and is a bit slow
the tiqit(i dont know if its out or not) looks horrible. but i heard somewhere that it is reliable.

A guy I work with bought an OQO (for work) a couple of weeks ago and I've been checking it out... I really like it except for two things -- one is a big deal to me (the stylus) and the other not really that bad (the unit gets very hot)... The stylus is electrostatic (not like a PDA) and really doesn't work that well -- you are forever tapping and retapping the screen to select something... The unit also gets very hot to the touch with normal use... Other than those two things (and the price), I'd love to have one. ...and if someone else were buying it, I'd "still" love to have one. The screen is outstanding; the keyboard is excellent; the trackstik works very well; wifi works ok; the unit is "fast enough"; it's truly pocketable; and really runs Win XP apps...
It could use more RAM and USB 2.0 would be nice, but all in all a very nice device...
I've seen a prototype Flipstart, but didn't get a chance to test it out... It seemed slightly larger than the OQO. I'd love to give one a try...
Definitly is a good idea, and as JMJ said, it is a start. Its like mashing a PDA and a Laptop together. I also would like the touchscreen, since I've gotten my PDA, I've found myself wanting to touch my laptop screen, and even my desktop screen. If they could fix this, and the other overheating and battery life problems... it would definitly be something I would consider getting
