Rhino Skin Owners Speak Out
is it possible to attach 3 or 4 plastic credit card holders to the inside neoprene screen protector so i can carry my id card, debit card, etc?
need about 5 total but might be able to double some up.

I just got my skin a few minutes ago, it sure is sexy! You might be able to squeeze 3 - 4 cards in there but they would be right on the screen. The case has a good latch but too much pressure from the inside could pop it open though. Hope that helps.:D

Rhino Skin is gorgeous, fits well, really protects, but 2 things I don't like:
1) No attachable belt clip (have to buy one of the generic glue-on types extra, and that doesn't keep the thing from falling off your belt 'cause no lanyard).
2) Semi-sharp aluminum edges will play havoc on suit pockets.
So I'm sending mine back.

I ordered one but it hasnt gotten here yet. But could you maybe cut in the neoprene up at the top of the inside of the case and stick some credit cards in there maybe?

It's possible that you could cut out some of the neoprene and gain some extra room that way. I did'nt take that into consideration earlier since I'm not big on modifications. I think you'll enjoy it unless you play alot of game that use the d-pad. The door gets in the way a little.:D

No, it's really easy to remove the Ax from the Rhino. But the neoprene holds it snuggly when you don't want it out.
Too bad they didn't finish the edges better and add a removable belt-clip w/lanyard, or I'd keep mine.

No room for SD cards unless you want it out of the plastic case and don't mind taping it to the inside of the cover. To back up what Wayfinder said, it is very easy to get the axim out of the case. I'm addicted to playing Contra and that required alot of use of the 2 right hand buttons. I don't mind though, keeps my baby safe the rest of the time. :D

The only problem I found with the Rhino Skin cover is that you need to take the Axim out everytime you want to use it on the Cradle.

Those at work that bought the Rhino for their Ax's have been pleased & don't seem to mind taking the Ax out of the case to put in the cradle.

Well I now have five cases since I now have a Rhino Case. I guess one for each day of the week. Just kidding.....
Anyway, I find the Rhino Skin case to be a high quality case. The one I have doesn't seem to have the jagged or sharp edges I read about. It fits the Axim perfectly and holds onto it. However, removing the Axim to put into into the cradle is a breeze. I don't understand why some users find it to be a hassle to pull an Axim from a case to sync it.
About putting cards inside the case, I wouldn't even try it. The Axim fits so perfectly that the extra item inside is going to mess up the fit.
For work, I'll carry my Axim in my Sena case on my belt. On the weekends or while out and about, I'll carry it in the Rhino Skin.

I've mentioned this in other threads but my solution to that is - don't use the cradle. Once it is set up, syncing over a network connection is much faster.

If the Ax were difficult to remove from the case, that would be a problem... but it's not. There is no case that I know of that both protects the Axim and allows you to just slip the Ax on a cradle... it's pretty much an impossibility, so I've never understood that objection. Just opoen the case, remove the Ax, cradle it, put it back in the case. No biggie.
I've seen some cases that supposedly one can cradle the Ax without removing it from the case... but then you have the case flopping all over the place, and can you use the Ax while it's cradled? Not really. The only way to cradle an Ax properly, is to remove it from whatever case it's on. If the removal is easy, then that to me isn't an issue.
The reason a person uses a cradle is that (according to Dell) the cradle charges faster and allows use of the Ax while it is charging. If one uses the Ax with the standard charger, the charging takes a long time.

But the standard charger is the same one as what plugs into the cradle. Are you telling me the charge goes through the 40-pin connector faster than it can through the power adapter port? That would really surprise me. Besides the fact that I can leave it plugged in while I'm using it. For me, it's quite awkward to use the Axim while it is in the cradle.
