PPC6800 ROM v.2.14.671.3 (Alltel ONLY)



This is the Alltel's PPC6800 ROM upgrade. Alltel's version has less issues then Sprint's PPC6800. This ROM is recommended to keep your pda phone up to date.

Note: Backup EVERYTHING in case the ROM is not good for you. Also keep in mind that ROM upgrades is equivalent to a hard reset.

Installation Instructions:

1. Back up your personal data from the Mobile Device to your computer using ActiveSync if you want to ensure you don't lose any of your data.
2. On your computer, run the ROM Update Utility (RUU) to install the ROM update to your Mobile Device. (The next section provides a detailed procedure on how to install the ROM Update).
3. Restore your personal data back to your Mobile Device using ActiveSync. (Optional)
4. After the device resets from the update, you MUST dial *228 and press 3 when the automated greeting comes on to re-provision your device with the correct NAM info.
