8525 ROM v3.62.502.3



This HTC ROM for AT&T 8525 is an OS upgrade from WM5 to WM6. It will ONLY be available from November 1, 2007 to February 1, 2008. Even if you do not wish to upgrade to WM6, you should still download the file and keep it in a safe place. This way you always have an option to upgrade your OS.

Note: Backup EVERYTHING in case the ROM is not good for you. Also keep in mind that ROM upgrades is equivalent to a hard reset.

Install Instructions:

1. Back up your personal data from the Mobile Device to your computer using ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center if you want to ensure you don't lose any of your data.
2. On your computer, run the ROM Update Utility (RUU) to install the ROM update to your Mobile Device. (The next section provides a detailed procedure on how to install the ROM Update).
3. Restore your personal data back to your Mobile Device using ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center. (Optional)

I take it the file is not available from Aximsite. I get cannot display page ie7 annoyance screen on clicking the download button.

Should some unfortunate soul purchase an 8525 with wm5? Hmm, to hear AT&T solution in a nutshell, go buy a new $500.00 phone.
