No, I haven't played that game. I will look out for it. I also am awaiting Brain Age. Seems to be a nice game to get the grey masses awake.

You should dig into Animal Crossing. It's loads of fun and there's tons of stuff to do. Using Nintendo WFC is a real joy, as you can visit other players' towns and trade goods and such. There are also many things to collect in the game, a feature that gets most games going for a good while. I've been playing it for a few months now and have to say, it's one of those games that can keep me busy and playing on a daily basis. I love the fact that it's played realtime.

Yeah, pretty much everyone at the game shop I go to here is playing it and they love it. I will give it more time once my fiancee gives me back my DS Lite as she is now hooked on the new Tetris.

What is it about Tetris? LOL. She had the damn thing in bed till past midnight last night.

Ah well, gives me more time to play Syphon Filter online with my PSP. By far, in my opinion, the very best game on the PSP at present.

Cheers.

PS: nice to have someone to talk games with here in the forum.

The thing about Tetris is unknown. It's there, it's not gonna go away, EVER! I've played it for years and years with intervals, but I always came back for more. The new DS version is nice, but I find the screen a bit tiny. They could have done a better job for the real die-hard Tetris fans.
Actually, it was the first game I bought along with my very first Gameboy. Come to think of it, that was 1991. I still have the console somewhere, though not in very good shape, it still functioned the last time I tried it.
I've played that game in just about every room in the house. Yep, there too.
If it wasn't for Final Fantasy VII on psx (or pc) I'd have voted Tetris the game of the century.

I agree the screen is pretty tiny. The variety of games in the DS version is nice though and the head-to-head option sounds interesting but I've not tried it out.

Have you played Trauma Center:Under the Knife? That's an interesting game for use of the stylus.

Hehehe, yes I have. It's a pretty fun game even. I'm giving Metroid Prime Hunter a go at the moment. Awesome graphics and great use of the stylus. Never expected the DS to handle such graphics that nicely.

If you like games as Trauma Center, then you should try out Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney. Really funny game. Oh, and mind you, today is the scheduled release for Brain Age.

Yes, I pre-ordered my copy so it will be waiting for me when I am done work.

Are you using the thumb stylus for Metroid? I find that easier than the stick stylus. I've also played it using the face buttons to move Samus around but you lose precision in accuracy that way.

Be sure to post your initial Brain Age! I'm sure mine will be high.

My initial Brain Age is now at 39, which I figure isn't too bad. Brain Age is a pretty fun game actually. The Sudoku's I've solved are quite easy (fortunately) and I did those at Jet Speed. 2 other puzzles weren't that nice to me and told me I performed at either walking speed or bicycle speed.
I haven't considered playing Metroid with the thumb stylus. Sounds like a pretty neat idea, come to think of it. I also tried using the buttons, but that got me nowhere. Kept running into the same teleporter over and over again, just because I had no idea where I was heading for.

Have you tried out Tao's Adventure? It's another stylus orientated game, but what I've read from it, it isn't that good. I really love to play RPG/Adventure games too. The games I'm keeping my eyes out for are:
Harvest Moon DS, Dragon Quest and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hour Glass.

My initial Brain Age is 40. I can't believe some of those calculations messed me up when I'm going fast! Well, not that fast I guess.

Zelda will be fantastic when it comes out for the DS. I can't wait for the Twilight Princess to come out for the GC as well.

Time to go train the brain.

Cheers.

Brain Age's handwriting mistakes a 4 for a 9 somethimes, or the 5 for an 8. This generates mistakes which are not intentionally made. Syllable Count and Head Count has been added to the list of Daily Trainings.
I now have an initial Brain Age of 22

Ha ha! I'm also at 22! A big drop in my brain age.

The Syllable Count I find quite easy and I get the "Rocket Speed" for that one.

The Head Count is actually quite difficult to keep track of once it gets going fast. How do you find it? Maybe I'm just in need of practice.

You're right about the handwriting recognition making mistakes at times. My fiancee likes to cross her 7's which the DS does not recognize and so she always gets those calculations wrong.

I kinda like the Head Count. It's not too difficult as long as you keep track on both the entering and exiting figures. I've done them at Rocket Speed and 5 outta 5 each time so far. The syllable count is a bit confusing at times since english isn't my native language. I miss a syllable here and there, but not many.

I'm quite used to using letter recognision on my PDA, but marking a 4 on PDA is a bit different from the DS. If I write it like I'm used to on PDA the DS will display a 2, if I go all the way on the 4 the DS displays either a 4 or a 9.

Have you done a Sudoku on Brain Age yet? One mistake will set you back a 20 minutes penalty, which I find a bit harsh if you're able to solve the Intermediate puzzle within 6 minutes, but the DS mistakes your 4 for a 9, or your 5 for an 8. I'm glad these don't really count for your Brain Age.

I've been giving Soduku a try but this is the first time I have ever tried it.

The Head Count still gets me! Sometimes there are people leaving and entering at the same time!

All you have to do is count the difference in both the leaving and entering people and distract or add that to the current housed people.
btw, I got my graphs dropping 1 on Head Count today. 4/5.

I've done a Brain Age Check again today and am now on 27. The Word Memory got me this time. I could only remember 13 out of 30 words.

Got mine down to 23 now.

The Head count still gets me sometimes. I do ok on the word count. I try and find words that are related in some way and then find some with similar endings. Works well for me.

Retaliation today. I got my Brain Age at 20, but I have to say, the tests were pretty easy this time. I did quite well on word count and got 19 outta 30 today. Lets see how long I can maintain that level.
