Just picked up my copy of the New Super Mario Bros for the DS on Monday. It's fantastic! How I missed the old Mario game from the SNES.

The graphics are very nice and the new power-ups (gigantic mushroom) are fun.

Sadly, only 8 Worlds but there's enough reply value there to keep me going for awhile.

Time to search for all of the secrets!

I'm sure it still doesn't beat Mario on Gameboy, that was a classic game, still play it now without getting bored!!

My "My PDA" now updated with hints and tips including a ROM fix for the RX3700 series and installing Transport Tycoon onto your PDA.

Essential part of my PSP. After finishing Wario World , I passed it to my wife.

        

We still haven't picked this one up. We have three DS' in the house and Animal Crossing and Nintendogs are by far our favorite games. It does sorta suck that you need to buy a separate game for each individual handheld though. I mean I go weeks without playing my copy of animal crossing, one of my kids could be playing it in the mean time, but it's locked into one device.

I just saw the commercial on tv yesterday, it looks awesome.

        

I bought a Nintendo DS on Memorial weekend just to play the New Super Mario Bros.
I played for a while, but ended up returning the DS the next day because it came with some dead pixels on the screen and then after a little playing a whole row died.

Still have the game and I'm thinking I'll probably wait until the DS Lite comes out in a couple weeks and get that.

Well, I ended up getting the DS Lite yesterday.
It is so much better than the original.
I got it with a coupon for Big Brain Academy for free.
That is a pretty fun and addicting game.

I finished the last level on Super Mario (that's all I had left to beat the game after that one day with the DS).
I then went back and now I'm trying to figure out how to get to world 4 and 7.
I found the mini games that I hadn't noticed before.
There are a bunch of fun mini games in there.
I am kind of addicted to that one where you draw trampolines to bounce mario.
The one that you blow into the mic to get yoshi to float on the balloons is clever and funny.

Guess what.. So did I! I bought mine last thursday and it is one hell of a game.. I could not get SMB right away, and had to wait another day to start playing because Nintendo World NY did not have it in stock.
I must admit that this is so much better than PSP. Fast, Addictive and PURE FUN!

Branden wait until you find someone to play mario mini games with.. You don't need two cartridges, just download the game to pals DS and play along.. It is Mario Party on the go.. You can gather everyone with DS and play the "party" with just one game.. We did and spent 2 hours last sunday. Brain academy is fun but you just need to play once a day to keep it going.

I am looking forward to trying mario 64 on this, if not I will probably buy either Metroid (FREE RUMBLE PACK) or Mario Kart..

        

So did you ever end up with Mario Kart? I have been thinking about it but I'm not sure how fun it is.

I rented mario kart. It was pretty fun as a single player, but not online.
It was fun playing with other people, just not online.
Online they cheat and it is slow to get into games.

We got Mario Kart.
It is a fun game but it has short life span. With lack of many extra or mini games it gets repetitive. If you don't have wireless setup, then forget about this game. Multiplayer is not much help until you figure out the tricks to beat the people, because from what I can see, there are some pros out there, doing left/right tricks to turbo throughout the game and end up first.
There are also wild logos these people created, there are sites showing you how to do them but it must be difficult.
The balloon games are also nice. As I said it will occupy you for a while, but may not be as much as Mario.
