I'm considering a N95 and a Sony K850

I like the idea of a 5mp camera on my phone. I've been diving into digital photography really hard lately. I currently have a digital SLR but its not cool to take 20 lbs of equipment to the bar with you....

I'm considering these two phones because I' always hated to carry both a phone and camera out to parties.

I'm leaning more towards the Sony because of price, although the lens on the Nokia really intrigues me. Any suggestions or opinions on either phone?

Cheapest I can find a N95 is around $599 where the Sony K850, I can find for around $350.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to remember in what magazine I read that the K850 has an edge over the N95 based on a head-to-head comparison. I have no experience with N95 but the K850 continues to produce very good pictures though I would not compare results to a dedicated above average point-and-shoot camera.

One of the drawbacks of the K850 which I noticed was its inability to adequately deal with darkness slightly further afield. Maybe my settings were not quite right.

I can tell you one thing its a different thing that you do not like to carry both the gadgets together but the camera on a cell phone has got to be inferior compared to the gadgets that are actually made for the purpose. Being attached with the photography world you should have known this. Yeah Nokia outscores the other phone in every departments but when you talk about professional photography I would still recommend you having a good camera instead of a mobile.
If you look to some of the sites for consultation you would surely get supporting documents to what I said.

Sony erricson is better taking photos, but not videos.
If you want good photos, try SE, if you want apps try Nokia
