Hi.

I don't have a pcoket pc, but I am very interested in them, and trying to read and learn how they can be used to connect to the web.
I would like a ppc that can store and play music files much like an ipod, but even better... can have internet access!!

What I dont understand:

The connecting to the web...(i feel so stupid)

How can I use a ppc in my home, and connect to the internet?
I use aol and internet explorer on my desktop pc for web access, and have a broadband cable connection.

How would I setup a ppc (that comes with built in wifi capabilities) so I could use my same aol broadband account?
For explorer, I have free high speed access through yahoo on the web...is that how it works on a ppc using pocket explorer?

I don't have any cellphones or a laptop. Only my desktop pc :)

Could I use a ppc and connect to the web holding it my hand...maybe walking around, and not be connected by wires to anything, and not interfering with phone lines? If so, what is the setup process.

All you need is a wieless router, you can share your broadband access.

How does a wireless router connect? Would it connect to my desktop pc to allow a ppc web access? Are they expensive?

You can go wireless for a short range with a bluetooth USB, which are inexpensive. A router costs between $100 and $200. You can get one for relatively cheap from an E-bay store.

$100 to $200 !?!? Is that American dollars? Shoot. I see wireless routers all the time for close to free. After rebates of course...
