:exc: Good day to anyone viewing this, My PDA has a couple of times had the data erased. This most likely has to do with that i had dropped it, damaging the SD slot and possibly the main chip board. Could someone give me their opinions please? Perhaps you've had a similar problem.

I can't believe it. The same thing started happening to me when I dropped my Ipaq. At random intervals it would just hard reset itself. I am very frustrated, thats why I put everything on my SD card. Looks like we just have to wait for some aximsite scholars to help us on this one.:approve:

If you guys dropped your units its going to be a hardware malfunction. Thats going to require an authorized service center to diagnose and replace part(s).

Assuming its not as simple as something came loose inside. But even then you need someone qualified to open the case up. The parts inside are very small and delicate. Its easy to break something else while trying to fix the problem ;)

I'm aware of that also, Acer charge to repair accidental damage. Well it's not constant, let alone it wouldn't be worth paying to get it repaired. Since, it would most likely be over fifty pounds to cover the collect and relair. My PDA cost £170.
