HTC in North America

HTC (the OEM builder of the Axim) has opened their new North American offices.
Here is the announcement: http://msmobiles.com/news.php/4716.html
The direct link to the website is: http://www.htcamerica.net/
but it appears to only support HTC's line of smartphones.

I doubt anyone will get any Axim support from them, but you never know....

BTW, here is some interesting info from the HTC anual report:
Quote:
Patent Agreement
To enhance the quality of its products and manufacturing technologies, the Company has
patent agreements as follows:
Contractor Contract Term Description
Microsoft December 1, 2004 - December 31, 2006
Authorization to use embedded operating system;
royalty payment based on agreement.

Nope, you wouldn't get any. Dell would be contractually obligated to provide all of the support.

Hopefully that will change. For the phones they manufacture (T-Mobile and Cingular) HTC has placed a number of documents and downloads on their website. For instance they have the Quick Start Guides, User Manuals, a trouble shooting guides, FAQs, and even the latest ROMs.

The difference I see there is, the T-mobile and Cingular phones are a HTC model, and not a Dell model, or HP for that matter. They don't list the Axims or Ipaqs as their products, like they do with the Wizard, Universal, etc.
