May I suggest Xanax? Less expensive than smashing a PDA with a hammer. You have to have some patience with your gadgets.
For playing DivX, Xvid, etc, may I suggest TCPMP (link in MyPDA)? It has the broadest support for video and audio formats. It's not exactly finger-friendly, though.
The Axim X50/51 series handles Word and Excel right out of the box; they are the pocket versions, which are converted while syncing the file to your desktop. I'm not sure if WM2003se or WM5 automatically come/came with those installed (what do the experts say? guys?).
Before you give up on your current PDA because of WiFi, try
Ikehiker's excellent WiFi guide right here on Aximsite.
As for freezing on multitask, try instaling extra programs into your Built-in Storage or a memory card (those that will go there). This will free up your RAM to work with more programs simultaneously. If you use Pocket IE often, clear out its cache. Also, get one of the "magic button" programs that actually closes an application when you click "X". WM2003 only minimizes, leaving the app open, in the background. Until then, you will need to manually shut down programs by tapping Windows button, Settings, System tab, Memory, Running Programs tab, and selecting a program you want to stop, followed by the Stop button.
Just a couple of suggestions.
Seriously, put down the blunt instruments, too. The very brief moment of satisfaction is followed by an extended period of incredible remorse.
