I am just trying to find out whether bent pins inside of a Loox 720 Pocket PC can be repaired by replacing the entire CF Slot or is the CF slot soldered to the board?

I might be able to simply straighten out the pins but if I can't do this I need to figure out what else can be done. I haven't received the correct type of T4 screw driver yet so if anyone has any ideas int he mean time, please let me know.

Lodis, hate to spoil your party, but it "looks" like it is soldered to the board. (Just based on pictures.) At least you will be able to get to the pins nicely by opening the case. Two things about straightening the pins. First, chances of getting perfectly straight are slim (thus, increasing the chances of bending again). Second, this will greatly weaken the pins. I would hate to have them break off inside a card! Just some thoughts. Good luck!

my experience with pins like those is the they are fairly brittle and once bent they tend to break when you straighten them. I think I would advise to get the connector replaced if you can.
