Compare two devices

I am trying to decide between the Axim X51 and the Ipaq 2495. Does anyone have any opinions between the two, The are comparably priced.

Also what is the difference between the X51 and X51V. I do not see the X51V on the Dell web site.

Thank You

If you compare Ipaq 2495 with the low-end x51, maybe I will go with Ipaq2495 because of the wifi. But if wifi is not my big thing, I would go for low-end x51.

I would pick middle range x51 over IPaq 2495 because x51 series can handle cf card.
Give you more flexibilities. Other Hardwares are similar.
X51 is also prettier than the ipaq 2495 and hold better, it has round edge on the side.

With x51V, it no comparison.
vga screen, faster cpu...

Thanks, I am looking at the midrange X51. I don't know that I want to spend the additional money for the X51V.

Thanks

depending on what you are going to use your pda for i had this same very problem but in the end i decided that the vga screen, more rom, video ram, and the faster processor were not worth it. I have the midrange one and it can handle everything i throw at it. but if you are getting the pda for games and movies you might want to consider the X51V

If you're planning to play games and watch movies in landscape mode, just be aware that the X5x series has uneven screen polarization which can cause eye strain and headaches. I'd rather watch a movie in my qvga Ipaq than my X51V. It's just a matter of how much can you tolerate.

From your posts, I can tell that you're an Axim fanboy. And being a fanboy, I'm sure you know about the Axim's uneven polarization. Don't forget that I have an X51V too (see my profile). And honestly, if I were to watch a movie between my ipaq 4150 and my X51V, in landscape mode, I'd rather watch it on my 4150. And here's why (be sure to check the photos).
