Big Smile ipaq hw6915 or x51v?

well i have a x51v
but i still suffer from lags!
now its down to 30seconds, but still!!!
when i really need it, it doesnt respond!!!!

is the ipaq hw6915 a VGA model?

i brought my x51v from ebay, the guy sells quiet a few pda's (PDA technlogies LTD), nice guy, offered me an exchange for another x51v....

just deciding whether or not to go for a ipaq hw6915 or another x51v

i just need the dam thing to read med apps, and need it not to lag

is that soooo hard?!!

The iPaq is not VGA. You have to do some research to determine why your unit lags. Is the processor speed set to Maximum? What appliscations do you have running? What do you have installed? What is on your today screen?

I have both x51v and the hw6945 if you have the VGA x51V you will not like any QVGA product after that...but if you want/need qwerty keyboard and egprs it's one of the nicer formfactor ones the HP HW6.. series

hi esk2
thanks for replying

Does your x51v (the VGA model) lock up/doesnt response some times?

also is the HP one slow? and are there any bugs?
basically which one is better out of the two in terms of reliability?

They are both slow. They are both buggy. They both run Windows Mobile.

I bought my x51v used and it does lock up at times but I also have a lot of things runing usually, like skype, live radio stream and web browsing.

Now if the hw6945 had a VGA screen (even at the smaller square size) I would perhaps sell the axim, although I got the hw for my wife.

I have to say I was expecting to notice more of a difference in the speed between the two but I haven't, now one bad thing is the GPS sucks the battery VERY fast but hey that's not HP's (or HTC's) fault but GPS' just need a lot of juice.

Now my question to you would be what are you looking to do and what kind of usage, by that I mean do you use your pda also when ON the move, meaning walking moving whatever...

If the seller is willing to exchange it GO FOT IT! What do you have to loose? That thing seems worthless like that :(

managed to sort out some of the problems, doesnt need a soft reset as much.

But what about the HP one?
are there any reviews from users?

Yeah real VGA is better unless you want to settle for a WM5 Smartphone where the screen is smaller and the QVGA res works out to look better, but it all depends what your needs/wants are, I was suprised to see how much simpler things work on the WM5 SP edition just this week when I was helping a friend to setup things, yes it has its limitations but also its good (simple) features there are some WM5 SP devices with QWERTY too if you need...
