I like most other Axim users have an expensive Digicam but for every day use it doesn’t make sense to carry around it with the Axim for spur-of-the-moment shoots we take with say a phone camera. Also as I use my Axim as a phone a CF or SD plug-in digi 1.3mp camera would be ideal.
The problem seems to be lack of wm5 support from the few manufacturers of pocket PC plug in cameras. Searching the various forums lifeview.com seem to be the best range of cameras [FlyCam CF or SDIO Digicam cards] for the pocket PC but they don’t support wm5! However they do have a software development kit SDK available for download. As I’m not a software writer I have emailed them to ask if it is beyond they scope of a novice to reprogram the wm2006se software for their cameras to work in Axim 51v wm5.
I’ll post by results when they reply.

*** After trawling through the lifeview.com.tw website and notice in the system requirements section that mobile five support is now included! I’ll e-mail them to confirm and post my results as soon as possible. ***

Seems the FlyCam CF software only works with HP WM5 pda! However the have provided me with the SDK for the FlyCam CF camera.
Here's the problem would you spend £140 on hardware to test your first code writing on? No I didn't think so. I'm in need of help from a software developer who can say if this project is worth my while as Dell doesn’t seem up to the task [or willing] to take it on.
Any input appreciated
