You have two options, and both aren't cheap: the O2 XDA Flame, and the Sharp EM-ONE.
The former has a VGA screen, PXA270 520 MHz(if that's a problem, go get PocketHackMaster, XCPUScalar, or some other overclocking app), 128 MB of RAM(no PPCTechs upgrade needed!), 2 GB of NVRAM(!), USB host, WM5(why not WM6?), and the best part-the nVIDIA GoForce 5500 GPU, which can wipe the floor with the rebranded PowerVR MBX Lite that is the Intel 2700G! Oh, and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, tri-band GSM(no 850 MHz), HSDPA, and a microSD slot(stupid decision with a device of this size if you ask me).
Unfortunately, it's 1100 US$, and isn't targeted outside of eastern Asia, I think. O2 doesn't even have it on their site! Oh, and no thumbboard, which is odd for a Phone Edition device.
Now, the EM-ONE. Here, you get a WVGA screen(800x480!!!), PXA270 520 MHz(again, PHM or XCPUScalar), 128 MB of RAM, 512 MB of NVRAM, possible USB host, WM5(again, why not WM6?), and also the GoForce 5500. Wi-Fi, BT, and a cellular data connection are also available. Storage-wise, I'm not sure, but I think it uses a miniSD slot. And, yes, this device does have a thumbboard.
Only 800 US$, but still expensive. The real catch, though? The ROM is in Japanese, NOT English. Hopefully, someone will remedy that.
Aside from those two, I don't think there's anywhere to go. The HTC Athena/Advantage has the non-3D-acceleration-capable ATI Imageon, so we can just disregard that. Admitted, that's better than the plethora of devices that DON'T have GPUs of any sort. (You asked for a device to have X51v-equivalent specs, and the 2700G is a major selling point of said device, so I'd expect that you want a capable GPU despite not listing it in the requirements list.)
And about CF slots? As sad as this is, hardly anything uses CompactFlash anymore, in favor of miniSD and microSD. (Even full-size SD slots are on the way out, it seems...)
Sadly, I don't think there's anything that meets everything you stated, at least if you have to have that CF slot. If you can go without one, though, there's definitely a product or two out there that will fit the rest of your needs.
