Via Umpc

Just found this on www.gizmodo.com

http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/breaking/...ler-265892.php

It's a UMPC with 7" touchscreen, up to 1GB RAM, 30 or 60GB HD, card reader, USB, mobilityPLUS expansion slot ("Among the modules being discussed for production are a Bluetooth VOIP phone, a GPS unit, a 3G/CDMA adapter, and a world clock."), 802.11g, bluetooth, weighs in around 850 grams (!), etc.
I think this thing is baller. Biggest draw to it: price is supposed to be $600.

The only downside I see to it is the 1.2 GHz VIA processor. Needs to be at least 2GHz, IMO.

So what do you guys think about it? If VIA beefs up the processor, I'm all over this like a fat kid on a cupcake. :approve:

but slower processor = longer battery life.

If i'm using a small device, battery life is more important than processing power...

Meh, I like the "Everun" UMPC better.

I may replace my X51v with the Everun and buy a CDMA Smartphne too while I'm at it, ie: MotoQ9.

It looks like the best all-around (features, batt. life, price) UMPC on the market today.
